Traffic Impacts: US Route 2 at the drawbridge is reduced to one-lane two way traffic. There will be a signal and flaggers at the bridge directing traffic. The bridge will open at the top of the hour between 8 AM and 8 PM daily for marine traffic. It will also open between 6 and 6:30 AM on Monday mornings for greasing. Please plan ahead and expect delays.

Planned Construction Activities: The contractor is placing fill and building up the temporary roadway which will carry Route 2 to the temporary drawbridge (see photo below). They are armoring this embankment with stone. The crane will arrive late next week for assembly at the drawbridge. During this time the contractor will be working 6 days per week between 6 AM and 6 PM.
